Interclub v Springhead 30th August 2011

We seem to be one of the few clubs able to get a full squad of 16 players to play Inter Club matches either home or away. Springhead had a team of 10 whom we beat 3 matches to 2. This was Springhead's first defeat of the year.
Mild and close conditions at 4pm turned fairly wet between 5pm and 6.30pm, but a dry last hour helped us dry out a little.
Chris Berryman, Craig Lamplugh and David Rigg played for the first time – thanks to the three of you and we hope you have not been put off. Their inclusion meant that 30 members have now played in one of the 6 Inter Club matches this year.
Every match had something to remember it by – one Springhead player will not forget hitting a cow and Tony Wood, while walking up to the 14th green didn't even notice being struck by a ball hit by Craig Lamplugh off the 14th tee??
The final match of the year takes place at Drax this Thursday 1st September.
